  • CV assessment, hints and tips – we will tweak your CV for you as part of the consultation, however a full CV writing service is available if required

  • General advice on the job hunting process
  • Advice regarding salary negotiation
  • Advice on developing successful relationships with recruitment agencies
  • Networking – how to expand your contacts list, best places to find job adverts, and information about online personal marketing.

    • CREATION OF A PERSONAL ACTION PLAN
    Following the appointment, each individual will receive a comprehensive 'action plan', providing a task list of activities that are designed to put them on the right path to finding a role within the industry. Everyone also receives organisational tools which are designed to make the job search process more manageable.

    FREE HELP DESK SERVICE
    Email and phone support for 3 months following the consultation, designed to provide an ongoing 'mentor' relationship throughout the job hunting process. Designers may call or email at any time they have a query – for instance, feedback on a project they have completed for their portfolio, advice on negotiating a job offer, help with networking, and so on..

    Appointments are usually here at The Fashion Careers Clinic in Holborn. However we can meet you at another location, upon request (zones 1-2 only). This is useful if you are currently in employment and need to see us during your lunch break or immediately after work – we can meet you at a convenient place near your office or studio.
    Appointments are between 8.30am – 7.30pm from Monday to Friday Weekend appointments by special request

    HELP DESK (advice and support via phone and email)
    We realise that some individuals may not require a full one to one consultation, however they might need advice on a particular topic, or sometimes it’s just good to have someone on hand to answer general questions about the search process.

    Other individuals may not be able to attend a face to face consultation in London due to their location, however anyone can benefit from our advice by subscribing to the Help Desk service.

    INCLUDES

  • Help and advice on any subject relating to finding a job in fashion design, as and when required
  • We will work with you remotely, to provide as many of the services we offer during a consultation, for instance, CV tweaking, cover letter review, portfolio advice, and networking tools
  • Once you have subscribed, you can call or email us as many times as you like, whenever you have a question (within the subscription period of 3 months)
  • Designers can email images of portfolio or project work to us, should they require a professional opinion before attending interviews, or when they are putting their portfolio together.

    This service is for those who don’t have time to write their CV, or for those who simply don’t know where to start.

  • Preliminary review and analysis via in depth discussion by phone and email
  • Full CV written by The Fashion Careers Clinic within 4 days of initial review
